This charming 19th-century, two-gallon stoneware jar, dating to around 1875, features exquisite cobalt blue decoration and an ornate stenciled advertisement for “E.J. Miller & Co.” of Alexandria, VA. The jar showcases a classic semi-ovoid shape with a tooled shoulder and a semi-rounded rim. It includes small stenciled tulips and a decorative “2” with flourishes, along with freehand stripes at the shoulder and base. There is light surface wear, adding to its authentic charm.
